February:

  • APF RED MISSION BOX HOLDERS
Please collect an envelope from the back of the Church and return your Red Box proceeds to Father Doug by Sunday 12th February. Thank you for your support.

  • RETIRING COLLECTION
    Next Sunday-Cabrini Children’s Society
On Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th February the Annual Collection for Cabrini Children’s Society will take place. Cabrini provides support and care to some of the most vulnerable children and young people in our community. This includes providing extended schools clubs; nursery care; counselling in schools; residential care for adults with learning disabilities and catechetical programmes for children and young people with special needs. 2012 is Cabrini’s 125th anniversary so help Cabrini to continue its fantastic work in your diocese for a further 125 years by supporting this appeal. Please donate what you can to help give the next generation the chance they deserve and don’t forget to complete one of Cabrini’s gift aid envelopes if you are able.

  • ST VINCENT DE PAUL
The St Vincent de Paul Representative for Holy Cross will be holding a meeting in Hartley Hall on Wednesday 29th February at 8pm to explain the work of this charity and hopefully to recruit a new committee as there is currently one member. Several parishioners expressed a desire to learn more about this organisation and indeed get involved during our Parish Pentecost weekend last summer. This is your golden opportunity to make it happen so please come along.

  • ST CHRISTOPHER’S LENT APPEAL
As part of their Lent appeal, St Christophers invite you to come along to their short Wednesday evening services beginning on 29 February, March 7, 14, 21 and 28 March. They will start at 7pm and are followed by tea and coffee in their Anniversary centre. Further information www.stchristophers.org.uk/lentappeal .

March:

  • BAPTISMAL PREPARATION CLASSES
The next sessions take place in Hartley Hall on March 10th, 17th & 24th. If you would like to register for this course, please take a form from the contact corner at the back of the church, complete it and make an appointment to see Fr Doug.

  • BEGINNING EXPERIENCE
There is a special heartache for those who find themselves single again. Now there is help:
A weekend away for a lifetime of change, to be held at Emmaus Centre, West Wickhham, 30th March-1st April 2012. A time to heal by experiencing God’s love through others. A time to begin again. For further details contact Rita on 01923 467 958 or email Zanzibar@talktalk.net

Further ahead:

  • CHILDREN’S LITURGY DAY
There will be a workshop for Children’s Liturgy Catechists in Hartley Hall on Saturday April 21st from 10am-1pm. This event is being facilated by Marie Mann from the Centre for Catholic Formation. Please put the date in your diaries and make every effort to attend. Your support may help newcomers in their ministry!

  • GOLDEN JUBILEE
Fr John O’Donohue is celebrating his 50th Anniversary as a Priest in St Thomas More church in Bexleyheath on Friday 1st June 2012. This parish (Bostall Park) is also hoping to create a photo display of Fr John's ministry from 1962-2012 so if you recognise his photograph from the poster in the porch and know him and if you have a photo record or an anecdote, be it personal or sacramental, they would be delighted to receive them and return them if required. For more information, please see poster in porch or contact Jacqui on 07952247937.
