o Holy Mass: We are opening our Holy Cross Church for public worship this Friday, 4 December. We shall have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at 7pm followed by the Holy Mass at 7.30pm.
o Please remember to wear a face mask at all times, sanitize your hands at the entrance and exit, and keep one metre distance at all times whenever you come to church. It is an act of charity to safeguard others’ wellbeing.
o Mass Time: After Friday, the Mass times will be same as before [Sat 7pm •    Sun 9am & 11.30am • Mon 7pm • Tues 9.15am • Wed 9.15am • Fri 7pm Adoration/ 7.30pm Mass].

o Wedding Ceremonies: Can take place with up to 15 attendees, all of whom can interact.
o Funerals: Can take place with up to 30 attendees, all of whom can interact.
o Christmas: We are going to celebrate this Christmas in a challenging time. Though it will be different from other years, we pray that these seasons of Advent and Christmas bring us closer to God and His values. In order to follow strictly the safety guidelines and to avoid exceeding the restricted number of parishioners permitted in church at any one time, we are intending to offer special Masses for the various Groups within the Parish, i.e. The Diamond Club, UCM, Filipino Community,Nigerian Community, Tamil Community, SVP, and so on. Please contact me to confirm the date and the time of the celebration you wish to organize.
o New Year Mass: In the past two years, we have had a Midnight Mass to mark the transition from 31 Dec to 1 Jan. This coming New Year it will not be possible for there to be any social events in parishes. Sadly, Midnight Mass to mark New Year is cancelled this year.

The Holy Mass is offered everyday  via our Livestreaming webpage

  • 9 pm for Night Prayer: Last Friday we prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplet via Zoom. Glad to see a number of our parishioners praying together. From Sunday, we shall pray the Night Prayer of the Church at 9pm. The link will be sent to you via WhatsApp and Newsletter. Please invite your family also to join. Let us pray together and receive God’s blessings before going to sleep.

The Retirement of Bishop Patrick Lynch SS.CC
Following Bishop Patrick Lynch’s submission of his resignation to our Holy Father, Pope Francis, we have received news from Rome that this has now been accepted, allowing Bishop Pat to retire. Holy Cross parish has been enjoying a close relationship and friendship with Bishop Pat for over a decade. He is a person of wisdom, great knowledge of many cultures and a friend of the marginalised. We always remember his meaningful stories during homilies. During the periods of lockdown, he has been contacting every priest under him every week. Whenever I have been in need of some pastoral guidance, he was always there to support me. We offer Bishop Pat our sincere thanks.
After the Pandemic, we shall invite him for a thanksgiving Mass in our parish and we shall have time to show our love and gratitude for him

Please take a copy of the Newsletter home with you - please do not leave it in the church. Thank you.

  • Holy Land Pilgrimage: Some of us would have started the pilgrimage on Thursday 26th November. Unfortunately, the covid-19 pandemic has meant we have had to postpone our trip until next year. We hope to travel at the same time as previously arranged.go at around the same time. If you weren’t able to book for this year, but would like to join us next year, please contact Fr Antony.
