COVID SECURITY GUIDELINES : Following the recent changes(Monday 19 July) in the regulations from the Government, the parish has issued updated guidelines for continued safe and covid-secure worship in the church.The latest document is Covid-19 Route Map - Step 4

Dear Parishioner,

As the country moves into Step 4 (from 19th July) of the Government Covid-19 Response Roadmap, it is our responsibility to create a safe environment in our parish. From the Catholic Bishops’ Conference guidance, I have drawn 20 points to be followed in our parish. Please find them in a separate attachment and in the Noticeboards. Please sanitise your hands at entrance and exit. You are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings. The Saturday 6:30pm Mass will be the weekend Mass where everyone is expected to wear a face covering and keep to the social distancing guidelines. This weekend and next weekend, a number of our children are receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion for the first time and next weekend some of our young people the Sacrament of Confirmation. To the Catechists who have prepared the young members of our Parish to receive the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation: Anne Mellis, Carolina Gonzalez, Zdenka Vitale, Edel Fallon, Franck Anguibi and Patricia Anguibi. Let us also not forget the commitment of the Parents of these young Candidates for their example and guidance, and also the support of a number of parishioners who gave a presentation.

• Holy Mass from Saturday 24th July [if the restrictions are relaxed]: Fr Antony and one other Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharistic will be distributing the Holy Sacrament at all weekend Masses. After receiving the Holy Communion, you can return to your seats to receive the final blessings. Please follow the guidance of the Welcome Ministers as you leave. You may remain in the church for your personal prayers for a short time, up to 5 minutes when a bell will be rung, as the church will need to be sanitised

• Until the End of the Pandemic:

1. Please always keep 1m distance between families/people/bubbles inside and outside the church. Please note: Keeping 1m distance is your responsibility and the Welcome Ministers are there to support you.
2. Please wear a face mask at all times, unless you are exempt.
3. Please ensure you sanitise your hands as you enter and leave the church.
4. 9pm for Night Prayer [every day except Saturday]: In this Pandemic, let us pray together as God’s family and receive His blessings before going to sleep.

Confirmation 2021-2022: young people, aged 14 and above, who wish to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, can receive your Application Form from Fr Antony after any Mass.

• Want to Baptise your Child? : From September 2021, the process to follow for those wishing to Baptise their child will be as follows: - Complete the Baptism Application Form available from the Parish Website or Church Porch. - Book an initial appointment with the Parish Office (Monday and Friday, 10:00am to 3:00pm) to submit the form and accompanying documents. - Attend a Baptism Preparation Course. - Meet with Fr Antony during the Parish Surgery (times announced in the Newsletter each week), to book a date for the Baptism and discuss the Order of Service. - Baptisms are celebrated on the first Sunday of every month at 2:00pm. Certificates are issued on the second Sunday of every month.
