THANK YOU
Thank you very much for the lovely service and burial for Olive. We were all so very pleased and happy that she had such a marvellous send off. It was also heart-warming to meet all her friends from church and that so many attended. I did not get the chance to meet and thank all of the people at Olive’s funeral so please be kind enough to pass on my deep gratitude to them. I really understand now how caring and inclusive the Holy Cross community is and why Olive was so happy in it. Kathy –Olive’s niece
CHILDREN’S CHOIR
Thank you for the interest shown. Eighteen youngsters have signed up. The majority favoured a practice time of Saturday at 2pm so we meet for the first time on Saturday 11 February at 2pm in Hartley Hall. Anyone else interested (Aged 7 to 17 - flexible) please come along. For more information see the Children’s Choir Information Sheet available in the Contact Corner.
DIAMOND CLUB
Our dazzling diamonds are off to Eastbourne for a mid winter break next weekend. We pray that they have a safe and pleasant trip.
BEREAVEMENT MINISTRY
As mentioned at all masses last weekend, we are trying to establish a network of support for the bereaved in our community. We would like to appeal to those who have received bereavement training via Holy Cross in the past to get in touch if they would like to take this forward. Equally, if you have not received training in the past but are keen to get involved in the area of bereavement ministry (which will involve some training) please contact Lesley Allen via the parish office or on 0208 698 4731.
