They shall grow not old, as we that are left
grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years
condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the
morning,
We will remember them.
The next Altar
Servers
Club is on Saturday 16 November 2019 at 4.30pm. New Servers
are always welcome. Children should be in Year Three or above and have made
their First Holy Communion. The spotlight is on Christ, Our King,
as we soon journey through the season of Advent to welcome the infant King, Our
light and Word made flesh, at the joyful feast of Christmas. Our
gifts to Him are our prayer through serving with reverence, understanding and
regularity.
Fr Antony’s Annual
Retreat: in Knock, from November 18th to 21st. I’ll be
praying for you.
Remembrance Day Procession:
Lewisham
Deanery will host their annual procession through Hither Green Cemetery on
Remembrance Day Sunday 10th November. They will assemble at the main
gate in Verdant Lane from 2.15pm and proceed to the Catholic section where
priests and deacons are available to accompany you to the grave of your loved
ones.
During all of the weekend Masses, we
shall be lighting candles for all parishioners who have passed away over the
last year. Please remember them and
their families in your prayers.
Eternal rest grant unto them, oh Lord; and let perpetual
light shine upon them, may they rest in peace.
