Holy Communion:
Next weekend our Holy Communion candidates will make their First Holy
Communion. Please remember them in your
prayers.
Confirmation: The Sacrament of Confirmation will
be granted to our candidates on Saturday 18th May at 11.30 am. Bishop
Pat Lynch will be the Minister of the celebration.
Fr John Mulligan’s Memorial Mass will be on June 22nd, 6.30pm (the Feast of Corpus
Christi). If you would like to take part in the music for this celebration,
please come along to choir practice in the church on Thursday evenings, 7.30pm
[next one - 9th May]. All welcome!
There is a meeting on Wednesday 8th May
in Hartley Hall at 7.30pm for all those who are involved in
planning the Memorial Mass for Fr John on Saturday 22nd June at 6.30pm.
If you are not already involved but would like
to be , please come along and offer your support.
Let us Pray for Sri Lanka Today at 3pm, we are all invited to attend a special service at St
Laurence Church, Catford, where we will join our Ecumenical and Muslim
neighbours in solidarity to pray for the people of Sri Lanka who were sadly
killed and injured during the bomb blasts over Easter. We will also pray together for world
peace. You are very welcome to come
along.
Ecumenical Pilgrimage:
Please make sure you have given names and payments to Fr Antony by Monday 13th

Members of Legion of Mary from Ireland
will be visiting our families from 29th June to 6th July.
They will be staying in our home while doing their missions. If you are able to
accommodate anyone, please contact Fr Antony.
Second
Collections: Today we
have a second collection for the dioceses of Sri Lanka. Next weeks second
collection is for St George’s Cathedral.
St George’s Cathedral, Southwark, is the mother church of the
diocese. This collection helps meet the
cost of the upkeep of the cathedral.

Lewisham
Deanery Spiritual Pilgrimage
[Continuing our journey from the Eucharistic Congress of 2018] - An opportunity for the men of our Deanery to
gather together and reflect on our roles as Christian men in our families,
communities and secular lives. Saturday 18th May 2019 at 10-30am, at
Our Lady of Lourdes, Lee. Our time
together will conclude with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
Baptism Course The next Baptism course will take place on Saturdays,
18th and 25th of May, 10am -11.30am in Hartley Hall. If you have already submitted your
application to the parish office, you are invited to attend this Baptism
course, and we look forward to seeing you.

Please pray for the peaceful Repose of the souls of Jackey Folkes and David Bamigboye who
have died recently. May they rest in peace. David Bamigboye’s funeral
Mass will be on 14th May at 12.30pm.

Altar
Servers Rally - Aylesford Priory - 6 May 2019 (this bank holiday). Full

families and friends.
Mass for Migrants [in honour of St Joseph the
Worker]: On Monday 6th May, the Dioceses of Westminster, Brentwood and Southwark
will come together for the Mass for Migrants, hosted this year by Westminster
Cathedral. This vibrant and colourful service celebrates the diversity of
London, Kent, Middlesex, Hertfortshire and Essex Bishop Michael Campbell will
preside at the Mass, which takes place at 10.30 am (please be seated in plenty
of time). The banner procession will enter the Cathedral at 10 am. Please join us for this special occasion.
All are very welcome.
Garden
Party- A fund raising event to help protect
immigrant female workers in Lebanon.
