THE PARISH CENSUS
..will take place over the
week-end 30 June and 1st July and there will be a
follow up the following week. There will be some helpers to assist and
give advice on both week-ends. You will be able to complete the form online as
well as a paper version.
When you complete the form you will be asked if you give
your consent to using your contact details within the parish, and also to using
photos for use within the parish and the parish website.
The Census will be used to produce an up to date
database of the parish.
It will be especially helpful in knowing where people
live, so that we can arrange visits / support for those who are
housebound. Families will be better served too, we will know ages of children
and can see when they are due to come into school, to transfer to secondary, to make their first communion and confirmation. Provided we have up to date
contact details we will be able to remind parishioners about events, dates
affecting them.
SUMMER YOUTH DAY, Saturday, 23rd June 2018 (please see http://scys.org.uk/events)

quiet place and rest a while’ Mark 6:30-32
For
Catechists in Lewisham deanery: an away day to review and give thanks at the

celebrating.
The
day will run with arrival at 10am and the first session at 10.30am, with a
break for lunch, (please bring a packed lunch,) the final session will be the
closing liturgy in the Chapel and the day will end at 3pm. The deanery is subsidizing the cost of the day and participants are
asked to contribute £15. (Your parish may wish to cover this cost, speak to
your Parish Priest.)The convent facilities and grounds create a wonderful oasis
of calm and relaxation. Those who have attended previously spoke
enthusiastically about the opportunity to get away from the hustle and bustle
of everyday life and find some time to get in touch with their inner selves for
personal spiritual renewal.
