PARISH CENSUS UPDATE
Apologies
for the problems some of you had last weekend logging into the Registration
page of the Parish Website to complete the Census form. The bug affecting that
page is now fixed and normal service is resumed!
Please
make sure that you and all of your family are registered. Encourage friends and
fellow parishioners to complete the census as well. It is easier to do so
online.
You
still have the option of completing a paper version of the Census and returning
to Fr Doug or one of the Ushers at the end of Mass.
During
the week a good number of the Diamond Club completed the census form and this
has now increased the number of forms completed to over 100 up from 54 last
week. So keep up the good work we have nearly 800 attending Mass each week so
that is our first target but we still have some way to go.
If
there is someone you know who is housebound perhaps you can drop off a census
form to them and help them complete it and return it to the parish.
REMINDER FOR ALL
CATECHISTS
Our
annual get together of Catechists is on Monday 16th July from
7.30pm, ln Hartley Hall.. Do you help with Children’s Liturgy, The Baptism
Programme, First Communion, Confirmation, RCIA, or any other Catechesis in the
parish? If you are at the School Leavers Production please join us afterwards.
This will be our last chance to meet
together as a group of Catechists with Fr Doug.
BISHOP PAUL
It was as been announced on Monday 9th July that Pope
Francis has appointed Bishop Paul Mason as the next Bishop of the Forces. Bishop
Paul was ordained as a Bishop in May 2016, and appointed to be an Auxiliary
Bishop in the diocese.
REMINDER
If you are a Reader or Extraordinary
Minister, the new Rota is now in place, please check one of the copies at each
entrance.

Fifteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time Weekend of
July 14/15, 2018
In his letter to the Ephesian community, St.
Paul teaches that God, the Father, has established a divine plan to bring all
of creation to Christ and that He has blessed us with the divine gifts to help
implement that plan. Christian stewards know what their gifts are and remain
committed to using them in the service of the Lord. Do we know what our gifts
are? Do we believe that God has given us these gifts? Are we committed to using
our gifts to serve the Lord?
