[St. John Henry Cardinal Newman]

Public Consultation
For over a year Holy Cross School and St Augustine's School have been working together in a soft federation under the leadership of Miss Mary Collins. The two schools are currently in the process of a consultation Proposing that this become a permanent arrangement therefore becoming a hard federation with the two schools sharing one governing body. Both schools will continue to work closely with their respective parishes. The consultation documents are available on both school websites. If you wish to add your views to the consultation please email them to: consultationresponse@holycross.lewisham.sch.uk
We look forward to hearing from you [from Mary Collins , Executive Headteacher Holy Cross & St Augustine's Catholic Primary Schools].

Gospel Stewardship Reflection:
If we want to know what Jesus’ parable is about in today’s Gospel, it seems that we don’t need to work too hard because Saint Luke tell us right at the beginning: “Jesus told his disciples a parable about their need to pray always and not to lose heart.” This parable has often been used to bring comfort to us about our prayer life. But could there be a more challenging message for those who take stewardship seriously? Widows were the poorest and most vulnerable of people in Jesus’ time. Oppressive legal and economic structures were the norm. Jesus embraced with great compassion the poor and the marginalized. Could it be that we are also encouraged to pray persistently for the poor, the weak and the vulnerable as we hear their cry for justice? And that we must not lose heart that we can effect change in their lives? [from Ossie Folkes].

Be on the alert :

The email address this comes from is orlandi613@gmail.com.This is spam mail – do not open or respond just delete. The Diocese are aware of this situation.
