Gifts and Talents
Don’t forget to come along to the Gifts and Talents evening on Monday 1st July 7.30pm Hartley Hall. Your opportunity to find what you can do to be one of the labourers, and what you can sign up for, to help your parish.
The evening will provide a welcome from Fr. Antony, a short prayer input using imaginative contemplation, a very brief explanation of what is available. The rest of the session will be an opportunity to mix with others, ask questions and enjoy some cheese and wine. So bring a friend and tell others. “The harvest is rich but the labourers are few …” [Luke 10:2]
Annual Parish Walk 2019 is taking place next Saturday 6th July. Funds raised will support the children in the Special Needs Unit at Ahotokurom in Ghana.  If you still would like to participate and need a sponsorship form please contact Lesley Allen.
Eight Members of the Legion of Mary This weekend we welcome the arrival of the Legion of Mary.  They will be visiting our homes over the next week. Many thanks for all who came forward to help them: Remo & Iwonka Finaldi, Emilienne Dago, Mary Burke and Francesco & Roberta Lala and Fortuna Medhanie for offering accommodation; Mary Burke for preparing dinner for the whole week; Francesco & Roberta Lala, Fortuna Medhanie for preparing lunch [Sunday, Monday and Thursday]. Second Collection: Today there will be a second collection for Peter’s Pence.  The faithful’s offerings to the Holy Father are destined for church needs, humanitarian initiatives and social promotion projects, as well as to the support of the Holy See.
Requiem Mass Please pray for the peaceful repose of the soul of Teresa Harney whose Requiem Mass will be on Friday 5th July at 10am.  We also pray for her family at this difficult time. Also pray for the repose of the soul of Clifford Aristide.
