presentations on Mary the Mother of God Wednesdays 28th Feb, 7th, 14th and
21st March 7.30pm-8.30pm.
Who was Mary
of Nazareth? Why was she chosen to be the mother of God? How did her “YES”
change the world? Where is Mary now and what is she doing? How can Mary help us
today? These are some of the questions raised in the presentations.
Join us from
7pm for a cup of tea and meet other parishioners.
Will be of
particular interest to those going to Lourdes on the Parish Pilgrimage in
September
GOSPEL
REFLECTION FIRST SUNDAY OF LENT IN today’s Gospel, Jesus urges his listeners
to do two things: to believe in the Good News and to repent. The steward is
called to repent: to acquire an openness to begin anew, to change existing
attitudes and habits, and to act with faith in the Gospel. In this season of
Lent, now is the time to ask ourselves whether or not we truly believe in the
Gospel; and if we do, to what extent are we willing to change our prevailing
habits and be more faithful to the Gospel?
Each week of Lent there will be a cartoon and a short text based on the
Gospel reading for that week.
What is God saying to you?
What are your priorities going to be?
