DAY OF PRAYER

Come along to our prayer day on Saturday 2nd December 2017.

Since Holy Cross began pursuing Stewardship as a spirituality we have rightly recognized the importance that Prayer plays in all our activities at Holy Cross.  This Advent we will be encouraging parishioners to focus again on Prayer.

To support you there will be a Day of Prayer from 10am -12.30pm on Saturday 2nd December in Hartley Hall, facilitated by Teresa Keogh, a member of the Diocesan Spirituality Commission. Teresa will be introducing us to Prayer Journaling and will help with practical suggestions and activities.

YOU KNOW IT’S ADVENT

once the SERVICE OF LIGHT AT St Laurence’s happens. This is a lovely event worth going to. December 3rd, at 6pm St Laurence’s Bromley Rd.

"A GIFT FOR GHANA"

Our Ghana fundraising nativity and concert will be on the 17th December at 4 pm.

Cost £5 adults and £2 children.

Tickets obtained from stewards after masses as well as the parish office.

Seasonal refreshments available on Hartley Hall after the concert.

INVITATION TO PARISHONERS TO BECOME A COLOMA CONVENT GIRLS’ SCHOOL GOVERNOR

- closing date:  monday 11th december 2017

Coloma is seeking to appoint Governors who have expertise in any of the following: Finance / Marketing / Fundraising / Estate Management.

The Governor’s role (which is voluntary) is very valuable and rewarding. The Board of Governors are responsible collectively for the overall strategy of the school, including its ethos, vision and strategic aims, agreeing plans, policies and targets and making creative use of resources. The Board of Governors also acts as a ‘critical friend’ by monitoring and evaluating performance.

All Governors attend a minimum of one Board Meeting and one sub-committee meeting per term, which are held in the early evening at the school. Some availability to visit Coloma during the day would also be advantageous.

conversation concerning the role, or would like to volunteer, please contact the Clerk to the Governors, Sallie Trembath, on [email protected] or 020 8654 6228. It would be helpful if you could also attach your CV.
