MESSAGE FROM ARCHBISHOP PETER

Do you support Catholic schools and the right of Catholics to send their children to them? Then we need YOU to make your voice heard.

The Government is making a critical decision on whether to overturn the admissions cap which prevents Catholic schools from allowing all Catholic pupils to attend. They have acknowledged that this policy discriminates against Catholics and promised to abandon it, now we need you to tell them not to return on their promise to Catholics.

"A GIFT FOR GHANA"

Our Ghana fundraising nativity and concert will be on the 17th December at 4 pm.

Cost £5 adults and £1 children.

Tickets obtained from stewards after masses as well as the parish office.

A chance to share in the nativity with Carols and readings and more delivered by our talented parishioners. Children welcome to dress up as their favourite nativity character. Seasonal refreshments available on Hartley Hall after the concert.

CONGRATULATIONS

to our November 2017 Jack Petchey winner Donovan Gabriel.

Donovan has been nominated for being a dedicated, conscientious and committed altar server since 2009. He is a very good role model, and takes his duties seriously and does them to perfection. He is very good in assisting the new servers and leads by example.

Donovan would like to use his award to take the young people from Holy Cross Parish aged 16-25 to the 02 for Bowling during the Christmas holidays. YOUTH CHRISTMAS DINNER

Tickets are available after Mass today for the YSVP Christmas dinner, which will take place on Friday 15th December 2017 in Hartley Hall from 7pm – 9.30pm. All secondary school aged 11 - 18 welcome. Come along and enjoy community time, a delicious meal, games, quizzes, prizes and much more.

HOLY CROSS PARISH

…are off to Lourdes in September 2018 for a week, there are 10 places left so if you haven't booked yet you can still do so. The cost is £ 720 per person.

BAPTISMAL PREPARATION CLASSES

The next one will be in January. Please complete an application form (these are situated at the back of the church). Attach a COPY of the long version of your child’s BIRTH certificate and a copy of your own baptism certificate and submit it to the parish office.
