Ecumenical Pilgrimage: 46 people went on the parish pilgrimage by coach to the Friars in Aylesford and the Abbey in West Malling joining parishioners from St Andrews and St Laurence’s church on Wednesday, it was a wonderful gathering bringing people together through prayer as well as having time to socialise. We hope to do something similar next year, maybe to St Albans.
Seven Members of the Legion of Mary are visitng us from Ireland.  They will be able to visit our families from 29th June until 6th July.  If you are able to provide bed and breakfast and accommodation during their mission in Holy Cross, Catford, please contact Fr Antony. I would like to create a group of volunteers who could spare some time to prepare food for them in the evenings, please let me know if you can help.

Fr John Mulligan’s Memorial Mass Planning has already begun for the Memorial Mass for Fr. John Mulligan on Saturday 22 June at 6.30pm. He died suddenly in September last year. He was in Catford from 1990 – 2009, and our Parish priest from 1993. We are planning a display of photos and we are looking for recollections and memories to accompany it. Please see Fr. Antony or one of the Parish Council if you think you can help. The Mass will be followed by light refreshments, strictly finger food, in the school hall. Please see a schedule on the notice board at the back of the church to indicate what you would be providing.  Bring and share.  Everyone is welcome. Next choir practice will be on Thursday, 6th June at 7.30pm.
OUR PARISH NEEDS YOU
We need people to come forward and give their time to help with the Baptism programme.  In the past catechists have helped, on average every 6 to 7 months, to run 2 sessions of 1 1/2 hours on  2 consecutive Saturday mornings. You will not be working alone! If you can help please contact the parish office.
Help: Our well known and committed young Altar server Johnathan who lives with the disability William Bourne syndrome is currently in Germany and being kept there by his father against his mother’s will. She is currently pursuing the case through court but needs to gather as much written support and evidence that he was living and contributing in Catford for the last six years.
If you feel able to support her please sign the letters which can be found at the back of church this weekend.
Please pray for the souls of  Lucas Wilson, whose funeral Mass will be here on 3rd June at 12 noon, and of Steve Baldwin whose funeral Mass will be here on 10th June 11.30am. May they rest in peace.
Altar Servers Club The next session will be on Saturday 29th June, 3-4pm. Newcomers are most welcome.
Catholic Mothers invite you to another evening on Friday 7th June at 7.30 pm in Hartley Hall. This talk is titled “Resting on the Heart of Jesus.”  Come and find some rest and meet new faith-filled friends.
Welcome If you are new the parish, you are most welcome.  Please make yourself known to Fr Antony.  In addition, please visit our website and complete an online registration form. There are hard copies at the back of the church if you’d prefer to complete a form and return to the parish office.
