Gospel Reflection.
In today’s Gospel we hear the prophet John the Baptist being asked a profound stewardship question: “What should we do?” Each group wants to know the appropriate response to John’s call; each reply points to how they should treat others. John does not simply say, “Be baptized.” Rather, he points them to their jobs and personal relationships. John’s message is simple: judgment is near, and repentance includes treating others well. We should be willing to share what we have with those in need. To listen to John the Baptist is to be called to account. Do I give only of my excess, or am I the good steward who is willing to sacrifice in order to help others?

Home Visit by Fr Antony
Kindly complete a form kept in the Grotto Corner and online in the "Forms" section to invite Fr Antony to visit your home to bless your family and family home. Please note that the preferred date and time may not be available sometimes because of the number of requests he has been receiving.
Bible Verse to Remember:
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life [John3:16].
Pope Francis:
“We Christians are called to safeguard and spread the joy of waiting: we await God who loves us infinitely and at the same time we are awaited by Him. In this way, life becomes a great betrothal,”
The Joy Candle:
Today we light the third candle of the Advent. The 3rd Sunday in Advent is Gaudete Sunday (from the Latin meaning “rejoice”) which is taken from Philippians 4:4-5, the Entrance Antiphon of the day.
CHRISTMAS OFFERING
If you are going away please take an envelope this weekend and use it for Fr Antony’s Christmas offering.
CRIB COLLECTION
