CAN YOU HELP?
Our church care team are in need of some more helpers to keep the church looking lovely. If you have some time to spare on a Thursday morning and are handy with a duster or a hoover then the group start their work at approx. 10am. Just come along.
There are also some more skilled roles we would appreciate support with especially during busy feasts and volunteer breaks and holidays such as flower arranging, laundering, ironing the various cloths and albs etc. also ordering candles and polishing the brass.
There is a lot to be done so you will never be bored. Is the Lord calling you to give your time and talent to any of these roles?

Our aim is to support local people over 16 living through difficult times, and their families, to improve their mental well being in a cafe with: Drinks and snacks in a welcoming atmosphere; information and activities; space for quiet reflection or spiritual support; non-judgmental social interaction with each other, and with our volunteers.
Many of our volunteers have experience of mental health issues personally or as carers/family members, and are happy to provide a sympathetic, and confidential, listening ear.
If you would like to find out more, we look forward to meeting you on 15th February
EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS
In preparation for the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage & Congress - Adoremus - taking place in September in Liverpool. Anne Mellis our parish delegate will be attending this. She will speak at all Masses this week end. Archbishop Peter encourages you to pick up a Prayer Card at the end of Mass and use the prayer over the coming months.
GOSPEL REFLECTION
In today’s Gospel we hear proclaimed the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry. He teaches. He heals. And all are amazed. By their baptism, Christian stewards realize they are called to do the same in their lives. They are called to be the light of Christ each day. As we bring closure to the beginning of this new year, now is a good time to ask the Lord to fill our hearts with courage and faith, so that we too may publicly minister in his name; that we may be liberated from our insecurities and fear so that we can share the Gospel authoritatively and work to heal at least one wounded relationship in the coming months ahead.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
The Parish office will be closed until Monday 5th February
